Electric car, washing machine, shoe box shortlisted for eco-product award - Nissan
's Leaf electric car, Samsung's Eco Bubble washing machine and Puma's alternative shoebox -- the Clever Little Bag -- are among the consumer products shortlisted for Best Green Production Innovation at this year's Green Awards.Now in their fifth year, the annual Green Awards honor companies, individuals and products across a wide range of categories that perform or promote environmentally friendly actions.

The companies and products shortlisted for an award were announced on October 11.
Included among the six products on this year's shortlist for the consumer-relevant award Best Green Product Innovation were: Nissan's electric car - The Nissan Leaf; home insulating material from UK-based Jablite; Samsung's energy-saving Eco Bubble washing machine and Puma's eco-friendly alternative to the shoebox, the Clever Little Bag, which the company says will reduce its cardboard use by 65 percent.
One of the six shortlisted products will be deemed the winner of the category by a panel of expert judges and honored at a ceremony taking place on November 24 at the Natural History Museum in London. ( Relaxnews )
